ASIMO ROBOT VS. BOSTON BIGDOG ROBOT

TAKE A BREAK FROM POWERPOINT
Now's a good time to take a break from your PowerPoint or from whatever computer work you are doing and go over to YouTube (if your company hasn't blocked it) and watch a funny video like "BigDog vs Asimo". You probably won't find the video funny unless you are at least a little bit familiar with the BigDog Robot and the Honda Asimo Robot. If you're not familiar with these robots then I recommend you take a quick crash course on Robot Technology via the following videos:

BigDog Robot YouTube Video - Honda Asimo YouTube Video

Now you're ready to watch the featured presentation: BigDog vs Asimo

BigDog vs Asimo remixed edition - This is the latest and greatest version of the famous "BigDog vs Asimo" video. Now the little robots are fully animated and the whole video is remixed and it is much better than the original. Watch the Big Dog 4 legged robot chase after Asimo the little 2 legged robot. This video features lots of action and a very explosive ending. Opps, I hope I didn't spoil the video. Trivia Question: What city is used as the background for the video "BigDog vs Asimo"? Answer: I won't say the answer, but I will confirm when somebody guesses correctly in the comment section. To find out more about the Big Dog Robot search for "BigDog Robot" or "Boston BigDog" To find out more about the Asimo Robot search for "Asimo" or "Asimo Robot"

POWERPOINT SHOW OR PPS FILE

Above photo shows a PPS file of a PowerPoint presentation named "My PPP.pps"

MAKE PRESENTATION RUN SMOOTHLY
One of the biggest stumbling blocks preventing you from giving a smooth flowing, professional looking presentation is not being able to quickly find and open/start your PowerPoint presentation. Well, there is a quick and easy fix and it's called creating a PowerPoint Show or PPS file.

Solution: Well there's a really easy solution to this problem and you don't have to purchase anything because it's already built into PowerPoint. What you want to do is create a PowerPoint Show (PPS) file on your desktop or a folder on your desktop. Basically a PPS file is like a PowerPoint file that automatically runs when you double click on it. In addition, you can copy it to your desktop (the background place where your computer wallpaper resides) and have it there ready for easy access. The PPS file also makes it easy to share your PowerPoint files. For example you can create PowerPoint presentation to describe the features of a new product. If you would email the raw PowerPoint file, most people, who are not PowerPoint literate, would not know how to run your presentation. However, if you first save your presentation as a PPS file then all they have to do is double click on the PPS icon and it will start your presentation. As a general rule, I try to keep my computer desktop fairly clean to avoid confusion. You might consider placing the old PPS files into an archive folder or simply deleting them from the desktop. Keep in mind that you should still have the original PowerPoint file saved in the place where you store your PowerPoint files. Procedure: To create a PPS file takes two simple steps. 1. Save your PowerPoint presentation. Click on the icon at the top of the PowerPoint screen that looks like a little "floppy disk". Now your original presentation is saved. 2. Create your PowerPoint Show (PPS) File. Click on the file menu and then click on "Save As". A window will pop up asking where you want to save. a) you want to change the location to "Desktop" b) at the bottom of the pop-up window there is an option labeled "Save as Type". You must change the type of file to "PowerPoint Show (*.pps)". Now go to your desktop (computer wall paper background) and locate the newly created PPS file. Double click on the icon of your PPS file to see if it performs properly. See graphic below.

NEW LAPTOP FEATURES INTEL PENRYN PROCESSOR

Above is a photo of the new Sager NP5792 laptop computer

Let me ask you a question. What is more important Internet speed, graphics speed, or processor speed? Well, that's a pretty hard question to answer. I would have to say that Internet speed is my top priority and graphics speed is my lowest priority, but with that said, they are all very important pieces to the modern high tech computer. The good news is that you don't have to make that choice with the new Sager NP5792 laptop computer, because it features all the latest technologies in the areas of graphics, processor, and Internet connection. The processor is the new 45nm Intel Centrino processor (PENRYN PROCESSOR).

LOOKING FOR A POWERPOINT REMOTE

Above is a photo of the new Penta Sport remote mouse

Are you the person in your company who does PowerPoint presentations? Are you sick and tired of having to walk back and forth to the laptop computer as you give your presentation? Yeah, I used to be that person. I decided to scan the Internet and see if there were any new innovations in PowerPoint remotes. I was amazed to find that the PowerPoint remote has evolved much since the days when I used to give presentations. I found a product called the Penta Sport and boy was I impressed. It uses the latest RF wireless technology (similar to what cordless phones use) to provide you with dependable long range service. Another thing I liked about the Penta Sport is the quality construction and handsome design. It has a sleek black, rubber like, plastic finish and beautiful chrome buttons on top. It equipped with all the standard mouse buttons including a joystick that let's you push in on it to do a "mouse click". In addition to the mouse buttons, it also has 3 buttons dedicated to PowerPoint functions. It also includes a built-in Laser Pointer with a trigger style laser button. All in all, I found the Penta Sport remote mouse to meet the happy medium between price and performance.
